WHY “PASSION”?

As founders of Passion 2030, we believe that major challenges of the contemporary world are too complicated to overcome without purposefully passionate commitment for big, good causes. It takes not only working hard and working smart, but also working from the heart to achieve big results on the paths of big causes. In other words, many of our contemporary challenges have come to such a scale that it is too late for “pure professionals” to lead them to success no matter how skilled they otherwise are.

While knowledge, skills, experiences, money, network and time are all crucial factors of success in any big game, it is the passion that most effectively finds, brings, keeps and directs all others together coherently towards a big vision. Truly qualified passion keeps its purpose above all, which also means it has no issue at all with self-analysing and acknowledging their mistakes or limitations and focusing to find, effectively position and keep dedicated the parts missing from the game that they lack or are not qualified-enough for. Qualified passion is ready to leave any position they hold in their game to anyone they acknowledge can do the job better. It knows that self-awareness and selflessness are integral parts of the duty.

Enough of truly qualified passion available per se, everything else needed to achieve big outcomes can be found and brought to the game. Without such qualified passion, other factors of success all combined cannot achieve desirable solutions for contemporary scale of problems. Without such passion, either it is not good-enough, or it is unsustainable.

Therefore, big ventures of the contemporary world, particularly at leadership levels, need most essentially people keeping up in the night with their passion in the form of an intrinsic sense of individual responsibility, strong desire for good, daring courage to venture and focused urge to progress faster delivering tangible outcomes.

As founders of Passion 2030, we believe Saudi Vision 2030, as one of the most visionary and ambitious transformative initiatives in modern history, too, requires such “passion at scale”. Therefore, we named it Passion 2030 for Vision 2030, to emphasise, attract and encourage such passion that we expect from our founders, investors, sponsors, volunteers and other stakeholders, without undervaluing other crucial  success factors they have to bring to the game.
